Modeling, Exploring, Etc.

Hello friends! I’m back again with another update on my life and travels. After another few weeks in Split, I’ve fallen even more in love with the city. The quiet streets, the sea breezes— it’s all akin to a dream. Lately I’ve been more aware of the stark contrast in the two halves of my gap year. I’ve been asked many a time by relatives and friends which half has been my favorite. In all honesty, I don’t think I could pick. Each place, China and Croatia, have presented me with different valuable and challenging situations— all of which I’m grateful for. While I’m often nostalgic for my time in China, I’m so content with my life here in Split.

I’ve found that my work has kept me quite busy. I’ve recently been working more with a local shelter, Bestie Split, doing some videography. It’s been so interesting to create videos that aren’t vlog-style. I’m used to creating content with a more personal lense, and now I have the chance to create something more professional. I love getting to film the sweet animals, though, and I’m learning quite a lot about the “behind-the-scenes” aspects of video production. I’ll leave a little adoption video I made down below.

I also had the amazing opportunity to model for a local photographer, Sam. We met up early one Saturday morning to get some shots, and I’m so happy with how they turned out! I haven’t done a professional shoot in so long, so I was a bit nervous to model again. Sam made me feel so comfortable and she got some amazing shots!
