The Quarantine Diaries

The Quarantine Diaries

Hello friends! I don’t know about y’all, but quarantine has me scrambling for ways to stay busy. I get bored quite easily, and being trapped inside certainly doesn’t help my dilemma. I can only stand so many lazy days before I start to go crazy! I thought I would compile a few of my quarantine suggestions and tips to share with you guys!

That being said, I know I’m in such a privileged position to be able to have this free time! I have so much respect for those of you that are still going to work during this time. Also, it’s completely okay to rest during this quarantine! Taking time for yourself is so important, and you don’t always have to be productive! It’s always nice to have a few days to rest and recalibrate. Now let’s get into the quarantine tips!

My first tip is to have a solid morning and night routine. Even when I was traveling abroad, I found it extremely helpful to always begin and end my day the same way. Now that I'm trapped inside, it maintains a sense of normalcy in my life that is very much needed. Every day when I wake up, I will put on a playlist using my Google Home, make up my bed, stretch, and write down three things I’m grateful for. This allows my day to start out on a happy and clean note. I’ll drop my quarantine playlist down below.

When my day is coming to an end, I also have a routine. I first will review my day ahead in my bullet journal. This allows me to see what deadlines I have or what tasks I’ll need to do the following day. After that, I like to write a journal entry about what I did that day and how I’m feeling. Then, I will plan out a fun outfit for the next day, take my medicine, and get ready for bed. I also like having a cup of hot lemon water while I read before falling asleep. Having a set routine helps me wind down and transition from “work mode” to “relax mode.”

I also recommend still eating three meals a day. This has been a bit of a challenge for me thus far, but I notice that on the days I eat three meals, I feel much better! It is easy to skip a meal entirely, or to only snack throughout the day, but making myself meals gives my day structure while also keeping me healthy.

Okay, now on to the fun part. I have been writing down fun activities to do during quarantine, so here they are! I hope y’all enjoy!
